My Aspen Grove Shawl came off the blocking board today. I’m very pleased with how it turned out. The Merino/silk yarn gives it a nice light feel and great drape, while it is nicely warm to wear. It will be great for fall.
Someone a while back suggested wearing it with rust, and I just happened to have a rust top on this morning. It does go nicely with this color. It makes the yellows and blues pop out.
This is the fourth lace shawl I’ve made this year and I think I’m getting the knack both of knitting lace and of blocking it. I now have a nice range of shawls to wear instead of suit jackets for work.
And I still have yarn for two to three more in my stash!
