We’re still buried in boxes, but are making great progress.
We attended a wonderful neighborhood Fourth party this afternoon with guest appearances by Thomas Jefferson and his friend Jeremiah. Jefferson shared with us his recent work on the Declaration of Independence, and Jeremiah commented that we must all be quite poor since we’re out in public in our underwear and that it was very odd that men and women were in a mixed public gathering.
Thomas Jefferson was recreated by the organist and music director at my husband’s new church.
Tonight we’ll be able to see the town fireworks from our screened porch and hear the band music from the Veteran’s Memorial Park. Perfect.
I’ve only been able to snatch a few minutes of knitting on my Branching Out Scarf so I don’t have any pictures to show.
Internet service is not yet up at our house, so I may be hit and miss over the next few days as I use the office internet service, and as I am out of service in terms of working on all things fiber until we are a bit more settled.
I will try to show some more progress on the Aspen Grove Shawl in the next day or so, though.
Happy Fourth of July to all my readers in the USA!
