My Hot Green and Blue Picot Anklets are finished this morning and ready to hit the road on my bicycle. They’re called “picot” anklets because of the cute little picot edge at the top created by a row of k2tog, yo for the hem turn.
I made these from Ann Budd’s pattern in Getting Started Knitting Socks and used Cascade Fixation–the yarn specified–in color number 9936 to go with my bright blue bicycling jacket. This yarn is 98.3% Cotton and 1.7% Elastic so I thought these little socks would make good cycling socks.
It’s a little cool and breezy this morning, but I think we’re going to go for a short ride so I can see if Witt Road hill still seems as steep to me as it did when I first began Taos bicycling. Now that I’ve done some mountain biking it may not be as hard as when I started out.
And, I can test out my new socks.
