I’ve been making gradual progress on four projects:
1. Dyeing fabric–completing my first color wheel and doing some cup dyeing today to use up leftover dye and create some mottled fabrics in some of the secondary and tertiary colors from the first wheel.
2. Take It Further–got some of the fabric pieces cut out and getting ready to start embroidery. I decided not to make the quilt sandwich until after the embroidery so that I will have a finished back without embroidery stitching. That means I’ll add some quilting to the piece.
3. Claret Perfect Sweater–after one week I have the back nearly finished–about halfway through the armhole shaping.
4. Machine Quilting–I’ve been practicing with my walking foot and completed a sampler–straight stitching went well, curves not quite as good. I’m moving to free motion with stitch regulator next and think, based on previous experience, that I’ll do much better with that on curves.![]()
